you have an unexpected extra day off work or school!  what are you going to do? ooooooh i'm going to take a leisurely walk with my pup, read a book (or watch a movie) that makes me blush or cry, smooch my wife, maybe swim in our pool, take a nap, go out to dinner... the possibilities are endless!

what is your favorite way to spend a summer day?  alright, here's where the pool really gets to shine! this summer, we've been having summer sundays, where our pals come over with tequila & taco fixings & we grill & chill & float all afternoon... it's really been heavenly!

what is your favorite way to spend a winter day?  being cozy Cozy COZYYYYY in front of a fire, with a cup of hot cocoa & again, a good book or movie. OR i'll venture outside to hang with my pals at a museum or special event or even just a bar for 8+ hours alskfjal

what do you do to unwind at the end of the day?  smoke a joint, snuggle my pup & watch something mindless on the couch!

do you play any sports?  i have in the past -- i played basketball & did taekwondo -- but nowadays nothing! i am newly recovered from a freak health issue that lasted from august of last year to about april of this year, so i'm still figuring out what this bod needs when it comes to movement & physical activity. maybe i should join a bowling league... LOL

other than fanfic, what is your favorite genre to read?  literary fiction & romance, or witchy non-fiction books!

what is your comfort movie/tv show?  10 things i hate about you. it's perfect, i will not be accepting other opinions ever!!!!!!

what other arts or crafts do you do?  i can crochet & got really into cross-stitching a few years back when we were all doing that gallacrafts zine one lolol. i also have been known to paint very badly.

describe your perfect breakfast:  okay, so i love breakfast foods, but i don't love eating in the morning. i'm a coffee until lunch girlie. that being said, i love a waffle with butter & syrup with a side of bacon and fried potatoes with tons of ketchup! or an eggs benedict!

Wow pretty good that I get to compare these two lol. Still got the star motif & the way I'm drawing bodies is has improved yay! Look at that looooong squiggly pointing arm

What piece has the most notes? Are you surprised?

This one has the most notes for hand drawn art & the other is my most notes for art/crafts in general. I'm pretty proud these are top dogs & pleasantly surprised with the Deleted scenes one 😄

Who/What is your favourite subject matter? Our boys but also when I'm acrylic painting I'm loving painting clouds & sunset/sunrise skies hues

I've been experimenting with acrylic paints after getting inspired by a sparkling water painting I saw on tumblr & here are some cute cows I drew for Leah

Where do you like to create? There's a table in the lounge room that's very spacious, has good light & a cart with a stash of my art supplies. But I wanna migrate back to my room bc I got a new big desk there to keep my mess away lol

@gallacrafts Theme 19 - Big Fic Energy: Things Beyond Mistake by @gallavichy

This craft is a special one for me! For several reasons:

My first time participating in gallacrafts!

My first time drafting a pattern this big and I challenged myself to use colors I already had. Big learning experience.

I started cross stitching because of the cross stitch kit that came with the gallacrafts zine last year! It's now my favorite hobby.

I love this fic!!!

This fic is the reason I started properly listening to Sufjan Stevens late 2021/early 2022. If you follow me you know how much I fucking love Sufjan Stevens now. I'm now one step closer to making my Sufjan cross stitch.

Also big thank you to my mom lmao for letting me use her phone to take the picture. Her camera is so good!!

It's not on the pattern, but I did backstitching around the letters to make them more visible.

This is where I got the font.

The hoop in the photo is a 6 inch. I had to add more 310 at the bottom than what's in the pattern to make it fit without the aida showing.

This is how I did the back! I wanted to take a pic of the back before I put the felt on but I completely forgot. It's now hanging on my wall next to my other gallacrafts cross stitch.

Hi, I was trying to go onto the zazzle store but the shop won't come up at all. Is the store not up anymore? Also, are there possibly any plans for a future zine? I really had fun with the last one and would be amazing if there was another on planned

Hi anon! thanks so much for asking since the zazzle store was a bit of A SAGA. so many ups and downs and at the end they took it down 😭 BUT the lovely @deedala came through and helped make (read: did all the heavy lifting) a new shop on redbubble afterall so we could still enjoy all the crafts. there's a couple crafts missing that we're still trying to figure out how to post without getting the shop suspended but they're almost all there and you should definitely check it out ✨here✨

As for another zine, I also loved the last one! No plans for another one atm though. I know it was A LOT of work put in by some of the other mods before my time at gallacrafts and I at least don't know the first thing about putting one together.

that's not to say it's off the table! and if you really really want it to be a gallacrafts thing, don't be shy! feel free to dm any of us mods. i'd say there's no reason another zine can't exist if someone's willing to take the lead 💖

Since @gallacrafts is taking a well deserved rest this month I thought it was the perfect opportunity to digitally share my art work from this past summers Gallacrafts Zine! This was such a wonderful process to be part of!

I imagined this piece taking place soon after 7x10 , which of course comes with lots of complicated feeling for Mickey.

Joining the @gallacrafts​ crew in posting my zine entry!  Fair warning to any potential knitters: I have small hands and made these to fit me, so I recommend increasing needle size or adding stitches to the fingers for a good fit.  I also recommend being better at stranded colorwork than me😂

I’ve never tried to write a pattern off my freehanding before, so I hope it makes sense!  If not I’m happy to help anyone troubleshoot or point you to resources for construction and special stitches🥰

i was so inspired by the fuck-u-up cross-stitch that @smokey-mickey put together for the zine that i bought an abundance of stitching supplies! so, for this month's @gallacrafts theme of wearable crafts, i decided to try an ambitious freehand embroidery moment!

Happy @gallacrafts day darlings!! 💘 I have decided to choose a new fic by our brilliant Jena @doodlevich if i never met you. it's a beautiful post-season 11 fic that is emotional, sweet & comforting & it inspired me.

I decided to try my hand at scrapbook collage with quotes from the fic & I used some stickers/tattoos from the Gallacrafts zine 🥰

Plus, It's also my anniversary month for Gallacrafts, so it's a fun coincidence I went back to paper & I even used the same scrapbook paper I used, making the roses at my first craft 💝
